Beaver Named AAC Player of the Week

UAB's LAndon Beaver picked up his first career player of the week honor after his performances against Troy and UTSA.

Beaver picked up a fifth inning single on Tuesday against Troy in the Blazers' final home game of the season. Along with the other UAB bats in the lineup, the sophomore exploded on the offensive end in San Antonio over the weekend. Beaver finished the 3-game series going 7-for-13 with a team high 15 total bases and a 1.154 OPS. Beaver also racked up six runs scored, five RBI, two home runs, two doubles, and a stolen base in a series win over the Roadrunners. He also picked up a multi-hit game in all three contests at UTSA, tying his career high with three hits on Friday night.
