Charlottesville 7, Culpeper 3
The Tom Sox hit three homers to power past Culpeper.
Xaivier McCoury (Liberty), Caiden Combs (Auburn) and Luke Craddock (East Carolina) homered for the Tom Sox.
McCoury had two hits while Combs and Craddock each drove in two runs.
Ty Powell (Texas State) had two hits for Culpeper.
Covington 8 Front Royal 2
The Lumberjacks scored two runs in the bottom of the second and led the rest of the way,
Zach Doorlag (Francis Marion) was 2-for-5 with a homer and two RBIs for the Jacks. Jan Oquendo (Charleston Southern), Frankie Clark (West Oklahoma State) and Daniel Castillo (U. of Cumberlands) each added two base hits. Clark had two RBIs.
Covington starter Jesus Gonzalez (Florida Memorial) pitched five innings and allowed one run on three hits.
For the Cardinals, Dominic Archila (Wichita State) had two hits.
Winchester 7, Purcellville 6
The Royals scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth on a bases-loaded walk to edge the Cannons.
Reece Newberry (Shorter) hit a three-run homer for Winchester.
For the Cannons, Thomas Marsala (Northwestern State) was 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs and teammate (Logan Newcomb (Coastal Carolina) added two hits.
Strasburg 12, Woodstock 6
Strasburg scored seven runs in the eighth to defeat the River Bandits.
Marshall McGowan (Western Carolina) was 4-for-5 with four RBIs for the Express. Tommy Kirwan (Wofford), Ben Green (UNC-Asheville), Jay Douglas (Eastern Kentucky) and Dante Ruby (Keystone) each had two hits. Ruby had two RBIs.
For Woodstick, Bryont Green (Fairmont State) was 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Abdriel Delgado (Jacksonville), Jeovanni Hernandez (Florida Gulf Coast) and Kamari Chisholm Jr. (Hood) each added two hits.
Waynesboro 4, New Market 0
Waynesboro pitchers issued 14 walks but still blanked the Rebels on three hits.
Nick April-Gath (Florida Southwestern) and Connor O’Sullivan (Rollins) each had three hits for the Generals and Holden Brauner (State College of Florida) added two hits.
Staunton 11, Harrisonburg 2
The Braves took the lead with three runs in the fifth and pulled away for the win.
Jake Merrick hit a three-run homer in the fifth, giving Staunton a 3-1 lead. Keegan Haesler (JMU was 3-for-5 with two RBIs and Braedon Trajkovski was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Max Lawson (Longwood) added two RBIs and Kaleb Williams added a solo homer.
