Generals 6, Culpeper 4

Waynesboro’s Brice Abbott (Longwood) hit a walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the 10^th to defeat Culpeper.

Abbott finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Greg Caban (Florida Southwestern) was 3-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBIs.

For the Cavaliers, Ty Powell (Texas State) was 2-for-5 and Braden Weaver (Liberty) added a two-run homer.

Purcellville 8, Harrisonburg 2

Purcellville took the lead with five runs in the fourth and went on to defeat the Turks, 8-2.

Josh Ibe (Stephen F. Austin) was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and Erick Martinez (North Central Texas) and Andrew Bell (Duke) each had two hits. Shintaro Inoue (Kansas State) hit a three-run homer for the Cannons.

Aaron Van Tuyle (Richmond) got the win, pitching five innings while allowing two runs on three hits. He struck out five and walked two.

For the Turks, Bennett Gary (Miami) had two base hits.

Front Royal 1, Strasburg 0

Front Royal’s James Green (Presbyterian) drove in the game’s only run with a two-out, bases-leaded single in the bottom of the ninth.

Green, Dominic Archila (Wichita State) and Boone Hosey (North Florida) each had two hits for the Cardinals.

Front Royal starter Noah Parks (Keystone) pitched six scoreless innings, allowing four hits. He struck out seven and walked five.

For the Express, Jay Douglas (Eastern Kentucky) and Tanner Waldrop (Auburn).

Strasburg starter Jitsukawa Tomoki (Wheeling) pitched five innings, allowing two hits while striking out two batters.

Winchester 7, Charlottesville 5

Winchester rallied with five runs in the final inning to defeat the Tom Sox.

Zach Fortman (Sewanee) had two hits for the Royals and Jaime Padilla (Shenandoah) added two RBIs.

For the Tom Sox, Caiden Combs (Auburn) was 2-for-3 with two RBIs while Brayden Bachman (East Carolina) was 2-for-2 with one run batted in.
