New Market 5, Front Royal 2

New Market broke open a close game with three runs in the fourth inning and defeated Front Royal 5-2.

Caleb Short (Louisiana Tech) pitched seven innings and allowed two runs on seven hits to get the win. He struck out five and did not walk a batter.

Zachary Banks (Embry Riddle) was 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs for the Rebels.

For the Cardinals, Nicholas Dromboski (Stony Brook) drove in both runs.

Staunton 25, Covington 11

The Braves scored 15 runs in the third inning and coasted to the win over Covington.

Ethan Barnes (Liberty) and Easton Ogle (VMI) each had four hits for the Braves. Jose Vaxquez (Arkansas-Pine Bluff) had four RBIs.

For the Jacks, Dariel Castillo (U. of Cumberland) had three hits.

Harrisonburg 15, Culpeper 0

The Turks defeated Culpeper in five innings, 15-0.

Phillip Garcia (Florida Southwestern) was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Bennett Gary (College of Charleston) was 1-for-2 with three RBIs.

Jackson Lucas (Troy) pitched four shutout innings, allowing just three hits.
