Charlottesville 11, Harrisonburg 9
Charlottesville scored two runs in the eighth inning to defeat the Turks.
Grayson McCollum (Kennesaw State) was 4-for-4 with three RBIs for the Tom Sox. Aiden Harris (VCU), Brock Clayton and Brayden Backman each had two base hits. Luke Craddock added two RBIs.
For the Turks, Brody Dalton (Kent State) was 3-for-5 with two homers, a double and four RBIs. Andy Perez was 3-for-5 while teammates Mason Greenhouse (Miami) and Garrett Harper each had two hits. Trey Miranda added two RBIs.
Winchester 8, Woodstock 7
The Royals walked it off in the bottom of the ninth to defeat Woodstock. James Pitts drove in the winning run with a single.
Brody Connors (ODU) was 3-for-4 for the Royals while Carl Keenan (Shenandoah) and Zach Fortman each had two hits. Bodie Pullen (Richmond) drove in two runs.
Tyler Oaks pitched the final 1.1 innings to get the win. He allowed one hit and struck out three/
Conner Worth (JMU) and Abdriel Delgado (Jacksonville) each had two base hits for the River Bandits. Jeovanni Hernandez drove in two runs.
Barrett Eldridge (Young Harris) pitched five shutout innings for Woodstock. He allowed three hits and struck out three.
Purcellville 7, Strasburg 4
The Cannons used a four-run fifth inning to defeat Strasburg.
Shintaro Inoue (Kansas State) was 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs for the winners. Thomas Marsala (Northwestern State) also homered. Seth Williams (WVU) was 3-for-3, Josh Ibe (Stephen F. Austin) was 3-for-4 and Ethan Acevedo (VCU) added two hits.
Logan Newcomb (Coastal Carolina) finished up with two shutout innings to get the save for the Cannons.
Sam Brown (Gulf Coast State) homered twice and drove in four runs for the Express. Caden Haywood added two hits.
Front Royal 15, New Market 3
The Cardinals scored four runs in the second to take the lead and added four more in the third to pull away from the Rebels.
Jaxon Kehoe was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and Nicholas Dromboski was 2-for-3 and drove in three runs. Danny Orr (UMBC) had two hits and Joseph Montgomery (Villanova) added two RBIs.
For the Rebels, Joe Terranova had two hits.
Covington 8, Staunton 6
The Lumberjacks scored two runs in the ninth to defeat Staunton.
Luis Acosta and Bryant Zayas each had two hits for Covington. Kelven Perera (Ole Miss) added a three-run homer.
Eli Porter (Charleston Southern) did not allow a hit over the final 1.1 innings to pick up the win.
For the Braves, Hudson Walburn (West Alabama) had two hits and Cole Sofge (St. John’s drove in two runs.
