June 23: VBL North Hitter and Pitcher of the Week

Winchester's Brody Connors is the VBL North Division Hitter of the Week and Front Royal's Matt Rios is the Pitcher of the Week.

North Division Hitter of the Week

Brody Connors, Winchester Royals (ODU) Connors was 9-for-18 (.500 batting average) in four games played this past week with six RBIs, three runs scored, two doubles and two stolen bases. Connors had three multi-hit games. He was 4-for-5 with two RBIs in a 10-8 win over Woodstock and 2-for-4 with two RBIs in a 11-7 win over Purcellville. Connors had three hits in a 5-1 loss to Front Royal.

Matt Rios, Front Royal (South Alabama) Rios pitched six shutout innings, allowing four hits, in a 5-1 loss to Winchester. He struck out seven and walked two. Rios left the game with the Cardinals holding a 1-0 lead.
