Culpeper 8, Covington 7

Culpeper erased a 6-1 deficit with seven runs in the eighth inning to defeat Covington 8-7.

Greyson Gegg (Mercer) had two hits for the Cavaliers and Ty Powell (Texas State) drove in two runs with two-run homer.

Hunter Covill (Bridgewater) pitched 1.1 innings to record the save. He allowed no runs, no hits and struck out three.

Covington starter Jacob Smith (Lynn) pitched 5.0 innings and allowed one run on four hits. He struck out four and walked two.

Caleb Miele (Georgia College & State U.) was 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs for the Jacks.

New Market 12, Strasburg 2

New Market broke open a close game with five runs in the sixth inning to defeat the Express 12-2.

Johnathan Mallow (Potomac State) was 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs for the Rebels. Mario Magana Jr, (Miami) was 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs while teammate Matt Murchison (UNC-Wilmington) was 2-for-4 with a solo home run.

Rebels starter Adler Holtz (Florida Southern) pitched six innings and allowed two runs on four hits. He struck out eight and walked one.

Braden Knapp (Camp CC) had two hits for the Express.
