Hernandez Named Big South Hitter of the Week

Winthrop's Jaylen Hernandez is the Big South Conference Hitter of the Week.

During the week, Hernandez hit for a lofty .500 batting average over four games. He hit homers in three consecutive games and posted a .611 on=base percentage. Hernandez was 3-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk to start the weekend series against USC Upstate. He was 2-for-4 with a solo homer in the second game of the series and wrapped up the weekend with a 2-for-5 game, including another solo homer in the final game of the series.

Hernandez leads the Big South with 14 home runs.
