Hays, Turner Excel In Series Openers

Stetson's James Hays and Western Carolina's Trent Turner were among the nation's top performers on April 17 as highlighted by D1Baseball.com

Hays pitched six innings and allowed one run on four hits against North Florida. He struck out 11 and walked three. Hays pitched in the VBL for the Charlottesville Tom Sox.

Turner hit for the cycle in a loss at VMI. He was 4-for-5 with a single, double, triplem home run and two RBIs. Turner played for the Covington Lumberjacks in the VBL.
